EDMONTON - Kenny is staying put in the Green and Gold.

The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive back/linebacker Kenny Logan Jr to a one-year extension through the 2027 season, the club announced Saturday.

“Kenny has consistently demonstrated the qualities we value most, both on and off the field,” said Edmonton Elks Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Ed Hervey.

“This extension reflects our commitment to building a foundation of continuity, character, and culture. Kenny is an important part of our future, and we're excited to have him remain an Edmonton Elk as we continue working to build a team capable of competing with the best in the Canadian Football League.”

Logan Jr (6’0, 210) joined the Elks in December of 2024, before making his CFL debut on June 27, 2025 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The 25-year-old suited up for 16 games for the Elks, recording 62 total tackles (47 defensive, 15 special teams), adding three sacks, three interceptions, and three pass knockdowns.

Logan Jr. continued his strong play into the 2026 season, starting nine games for the Elks and registering 34 defensive tackles (one for loss), two sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception.

Prior to his time in the CFL, Logan Jr. was a tackling machine for Kansas University. In three seasons (2021 to 2023), the St. Augustine, Florida native racked up 313 total tackles with 12.5 tackles for loss. The St. Augustine, Florida native also added four interceptions, 21 passes defended, and four fumble recoveries while with the Jayhawks. Following the 2024 NFL Draft, Logan Jr. signed with the Los Angeles Rams, spending time with the NFL team in training camp.
